How Chuck sets up AI in a business
Chuck's setup puts the work into context, meaning what the AI already knows before you type a word. It is the same setup he runs his own company on.
-
Start with one real job.
Pick a task you did last week and have the AI do it with you. Asking in plain English and watching it work teaches more than any tour of the settings.
-
Give it a brain up front.
Every tool has a place for standing instructions: Project instructions in ChatGPT and Claude, a CLAUDE.md file in Claude Code. Put in your goals, your customers, your numbers and how you talk. Write it once and stop repeating yourself.
-
One main file that points to the rest.
One main document points to the rest. The timeline is in this file, the menu is in that one. The AI follows the pointer instead of guessing. Chuck's own company runs on a main file like this, and it holds almost no answers of its own.
-
Turn what worked into a recipe.
When a chat goes well, ask the AI to write down how it did it: what goes in, what comes out, what to check. Next time the job is one sentence. In Claude Code these recipes are called skills.
-
Have AI build the spreadsheet.
AI is bad at arithmetic. Ask it to build the spreadsheet, then check one row by hand. The numbers come from formulas you can see.
-
Drafts, not sends.
The AI drafts and you approve. It never has to be perfect. It only has to beat how the job gets done today.
Chuck's rule: Decide what done looks like before you ask. If you can't say it, the AI can't hit it.
What happens in your hour
-
Book and pay.
Pick a time and pay $60 for your first hour. Chuck emails you a few short questions, so the hour starts on your real problem.
-
First 10 minutes: what you have.
You share your screen. Chuck checks your plan, what is connected and what you already know. Your answers set the pace.
-
The middle: build it.
You build the one thing you came for, on your own screen, with your own work. Chuck does the first few with you. Then you do the next one while he watches.
-
Last 10 minutes: next steps.
You leave with it working and a short list of what to do on your own. More help is there if you want it. Nothing is required.

Questions
What does it cost?
Your first hour is $60, an intro price. You pay when you book. If you want more help after that, we talk about it at the end of the hour.
Do I need to be technical?
No. You bring your business and what you want AI to do for it. You and Chuck work on it together, in plain words, on a screen share.
ChatGPT or Claude?
Whichever you already use, or whichever fits you best. We are not tied to one product.
Where are you?
Albany, CA. The hour is on a video call, so we work with owners anywhere.
