Claude or ChatGPT? Pick the right one.

$60 your first hour, intro price

Both are good. The right one depends on your work and the tools you already use. In one hour, Chuck helps you choose and sets it up.

Chuck Temple, two exits.
Author of Startup to Sold (Inc.).

You pay for one, a friend swears by the other, and every week there is a new model. You don't want to pay for both, or switch for no reason.

In one hour, you leave with:

You leave with it working.

Your first hour is $60, an intro price. One on one, on a screen share.

How Chuck decides between them

Chuck uses both every day, and his own company runs on Claude. He still tells most people to keep what they have. Here is how he decides.

  1. Already using one, and it works? Stay.

Switching costs setup time and habits. Running both is more to manage. Change only for a real reason.

  2. Where do your documents live?

Mostly Google Docs and email: either one works, with connectors. Files on your computer: Claude, with Cowork or Claude Code, can work on them directly.

  3. What is the work?

Long writing and real work on your files lean Claude. Images, and a team that already shares ChatGPT, lean ChatGPT.

  4. Who else needs it?

If your team already opens one every day, that one is usually the right answer.

  5. Use the other one as a reviewer.

For something big, have the second tool check the first one's work. A different model catches different mistakes.

Chuck's rule: The tool matters less than the brief you give it. Take away the context and either one goes generic.

What happens in your hour

  1. Book and pay.

Pick a time and pay $60 for your first hour. Chuck emails you a few short questions, so the hour starts on your real problem.

  2. First 10 minutes: what you have.

You share your screen. Chuck checks your plan, what is connected and what you already know. Your answers set the pace.

  3. The middle: build it.

You build the one thing you came for, on your own screen, with your own work. Chuck does the first few with you. Then you do the next one while he watches.

  4. Last 10 minutes: next steps.

You leave with it working and a short list of what to do on your own. More help is there if you want it. Nothing is required.
