Competitor Intelligence

Know What Competitors Are Doing Before Your Customers Do.

Most business owners find out a competitor changed their pricing when a customer mentions it on a call. I automate the monitoring so you get alerts when competitors make moves -- and have time to respond.

Weekly
Competitor digest -- what changed, what's new, what you should know
24hr
Alert when a competitor changes pricing, adds a service, or gets a spike in reviews
0
Hours per week spent manually checking competitor websites and review profiles
How It Works

Three phases. Stay one move ahead.

I map your competitive landscape, set up automated monitors across websites and review platforms, and deliver a weekly digest so you always know what's happening in your market.

Phase 01
Competitive Mapping

I identify your 5-10 most relevant competitors, document what to monitor for each (pricing pages, review volume, service additions, job postings), and define what changes are worth an alert vs. weekly digest.

Phase 02
Monitor Setup

I configure automated monitors for each competitor -- website change detection, review profile tracking, and job posting alerts. Everything feeds into a single weekly digest that lands in your inbox.

Phase 03
Tune & Respond

Monthly review of what's generating useful alerts vs. noise. I adjust sensitivity, add new competitors as your market shifts, and help you build playbooks for the most common competitive moves.

What I Build

Every automation in this category.

These are the specific competitor intelligence automations I build. The weekly digest and pricing alert are where most clients start -- they're the ones that generate immediate, actionable insights.

Weekly Competitor Digest
A consolidated weekly email covering what changed across your competitive set -- new reviews, website updates, job postings, promotions. Curated by AI to surface only what's worth your attention, not raw data dumps.
Pricing Change Alerts
When a competitor updates their pricing page or publishes a promotion, you get an alert within 24 hours. Lets you respond proactively instead of finding out from a customer who got a better quote.
Review Volume Tracking
Monitors competitor review counts and ratings across Google, Yelp, and Facebook. Flags when a competitor has a sudden spike in reviews (good or bad), so you know if they're running a campaign or having a service problem.
Job Posting Monitor
Tracks when competitors post jobs -- a leading indicator of expansion, new service lines, or territory growth. Lets you get ahead of their hiring rather than reacting after they've already grown.
Who It's For

Right for your business if...

Established businesses in competitive local markets -- HVAC, pest control, cleaning, landscaping, plumbing -- where pricing and reputation are the primary differentiation. If you have 3+ direct competitors within your service area, a monitoring system pays for itself.

You've been surprised by a competitor's price change or new service offering
You're losing bids and don't know if it's price, positioning, or something else
You're preparing to sell and need to show competitive positioning to a buyer
Questions

What to know before we talk.

I use website change detection tools that flag when specific pages update -- typically pricing pages, service pages, and promotional banners. I monitor publicly available information only. When a change is detected, AI summarizes what changed so you get context, not just a diff.
I typically start with 5-10 direct competitors and add more as needed. The goal is signal, not volume -- monitoring 20 competitors and getting overwhelmed by alerts defeats the purpose. I help you identify which competitors actually matter and focus there.
I monitor what's there -- even minimal online presence generates some signals. Review profiles, Google Business updates, and job postings work even without a sophisticated website. If a competitor has almost no presence, that's also useful intel about their growth trajectory.
Every engagement starts with an Assessment. Competitor intelligence is typically one component of a broader automation package. The monitoring tools themselves have a small ongoing cost (usually $50-150/month) that is passed through at cost.
