Thanks for the call today. Here is a quick recap and the next step.
  1. Click Copy signature above.
  2. In Gmail, open Settings (the gear icon, top right) and click See all settings.
  3. Stay on the General tab and scroll down to Signature.
  4. Click Create new, give it a name, and press Create.
  5. Click into the signature box and paste (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V).
  6. Under Signature defaults, set your new signature for new emails and for replies/forwards.
  7. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
The image has to live at a public URL so Gmail can load it. A private Google Drive link or a file on your computer will not work. Upload the photo somewhere public first (your website, an image host) and paste that direct image link into the Headshot field. A square photo looks best because it gets cropped to a circle.
Gmail rewrites and strips a lot of pasted HTML. This signature uses a single bordered table with the accent bar as its first row, sizes the headshot with real HTML width and height attributes so it cannot squish, and uses a web-safe font stack instead of a webfont. That combination is what keeps the rounded corners, colors, and layout intact after you paste and save.
